Suzy Berland, DPT
Suzy graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health and Human Performance in 2011. She continued her education at the University of Montana School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science where she attained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014. Suzy joined the Catalyst Physical Therapy team in March of 2016.
Suzy’s professional interests are in spine rehabilitation, pain management, and return to sport rehabilitation. In May 2016, she became certified in Sportsmetrics, an ACL injury prevention program for athletes. She is also certified through Kinetacore in dry needling for the treatment of trigger points and referred back and neck pain. She has experience in manual techniques including the Mulligan concept, joint mobilization/manipulation, myofascial release, strain counter-strain, and muscle energy techniques. She is skilled in taping techniques for muscle facilitation, inhibition, and stabilization following injury.
Suzy and her husband, Brian, welcomed their baby girl, Evelyn, into the world in July 2017. They are Montana natives and have a love for the beautiful mountains, lakes, and wildlife. Suzy especially enjoys spending time with her family and friends snow skiing, wake boarding/water skiing, and playing competitive volleyball.
